The disappearance of nine-year-old Chantel Crump has gripped the nation with fear and concern. While police investigations are ongoing, it is troubling that the authorities have yet to publicly release the identities and photos of the suspects in this case—some of which are already circulating on social media.
The public has a right to know who these individuals are, especially if there is a possibility that they could pose a danger to others. In many other jurisdictions, law enforcement agencies swiftly publish images and details of persons of interest in missing persons cases, understanding that public awareness can be a critical tool in solving crimes.
If the police have credible leads and are actively questioning suspects, why the secrecy? If these individuals are innocent, an official statement can clarify their status. If they are persons of interest, the public should be aware, as someone may have vital information that could aid the investigation.
Authorities cannot afford to wait in silence while the community is left to speculate. Transparency is essential, and in a case as urgent as this, withholding information only fuels uncertainty and distrust.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda must act now. Release the names, release the photos, and let the public be part of the solution.

If they are in custody they are not a danger to anyone. If they are innocent then they might be at risk of vigilantes. If they are guilty and the story is blown out of proportion in the media, they may take the defense of not being able to get a fair trial because of widespread prejudice. Former Police Inspector Feuilteau (Fellto) would have had, by now, confessions leading to the actual discovery of the whereabouts of the abducted child and information about the satanic cults operating in Antigua.
