Dear Editor,
Today myself and my three daughters, attended the picket outside the Ministry of Education to protest the outrageous vaccination policy of this administration.
I was pleased with the turnout of parents and students at the picket today, however I wished at least half the country showed up to really send a message to this administration. Nevertheless, it was a good turnout.
Before I begin, I have a disclaimer. Disclaimer: I support no party whatsoever; I am a patriotic Antiguan who wants to see the best for this country and its citizens.
We have laws in this country which protects the rights of every single child in this country to have an education.
However, it seems to me that it’s the intention of this administration to oppress the people of this country and by extension their children over a “VACCINE”. This is absolutely “OUTRAGEOUS” and “SICKENING” to say the least.
Is this government really denying children an “EDUCATION” over a “VACCINE”? You see, the reason this government is very comfortable oppressing the people of this country is because we sit back complain and do nothing while they live comfortably in their mansions, driving the latest SUV’s and pickup trucks, and eating the best of the best foods.
These politicians’ children are getting the best of the best education available, while they oppress the people’s children prohibiting them from an education. As far as am aware we all pay taxes in this country in some way shape or form, and the working people pay Education Levy so we have a right to demand “ALL” children to have access to an education.
People lets reason, if everyone on the school compound “MUST” be vaccinated to work, the scientist says they are “PROTECTED”. Why then, does the unvaccinated children have to be out of school when the vaccinated is already “PROTECTED”? What is the intention of this administration forcing people’s children out of an education? Is it the intention of this administration to keep the children of this country uneducated? Just questions enquiring minds would like answers to.
In conclusion, ignorance seems to run amok in this country because the people are just sitting back and allowing this administration to oppress the people.
The people of this country need to understand if we don’t stand up and do something, the actions of this current administration will affect our people and children now and generations to come.

Your children were supposed to be in class learning, but instead you dragged them into the hot sun to dehydrate their bodies, break social-distancing protocols and fall into the booby trap set by Franz. 4hours of their lives that they will never get back because of YOU!! What a careless, selfish, horrible parent you are. If you don’t want to get them vaccinated, that is your CHOICE. My kid decided to be vaccinated, I didn’t force him, BUT… he doesn’t want unvaccinated kidsaround him at school!!!
If you want your child to have education, start by educating yourself, stop listening to whatever, get proper infos, and homeschool, or online schooling.
I pay taxes like anybody else (and certainly more than you!), I hate politics, but I want my kids to be in a safe at school.

Your child does not want unvaccinated children around him??? And you haven’t yet taught him that we don’t always get what we want in life? That what he wants is not any more important than what they want? That the world doesn’t belong to one set of people and we have to learn to compromise with others? That it’s not right to just force your will on someone else to get what you want with no consideration of what they want as well? That the unvaccinated are not a threat to him and he should not allow himself to be emotionally manipulated into hating other people for no reason?
This rhetoric about being afraid of “the unvaccinated” is the most dangerous thing about this entire situation as it turns people against each other for no good reason. The only semi-good justification for keeping unvaccinated older students out of the classroom would be for their own protection – to prevent them from getting severe illness if they happen to get Covid. They are the ones who might be at risk from the vaccinated crowds. The nonesense talk about protecting vaccinated people from the unvaccinated needs to stop immediately.
The health authorities need to assess the true statistical risk to teenagers of getting severe illness to decide if they really need to be kept out of the classroom for their safety or not until Covid subsides a bit. Either way a proper education should be provided to them.
My 8 year old decided she wanted to be vaccinated came home and show her brandade. You see she had to get vaccines to even to to kindergarten. She is fine and now better protected my house is now 100%. All present and or accounted for.

Funny how the want they children to be educated but pull them out of school to picket. You don’t want your child to be vaccinated then home school them. Wait til your same child needs to travel overseas for college or university and a vaccine is require. I am sure they will happily line up and not protest.

Education is a human right. Not a fcking privilege! They are willing to neglect 100s of youth when this population has been the LEAST susceptible to the severities of this virus. Absolutely shameful to all that are complicit, in silence or in participation. We are really in the last days. This country is going to rot. We are creating an environment ripe for criminals and vagabonds. Leave the kids out of this! Let them go to school!

I would like to know, how does that child can know to say this to his mother, and what has the mother been Instilling in his glently mind. I for one has never spoken these words over my kids as much as they have been taken out of school.
My child is fully vaccinated, attends a school with a system. No textbooks so far. Few or no teachers for online or in school classes. No one to supervise at home, because parents have to work. Underaged children are left alone at home, in fear, at the person of prowlers. Parents are worried, stressed out. This is not a bla**ted UPp or ALP thing. Can a sensible administrator help???
