I would appreciate your expertise in investigating how this could happen and reporting on it. How is a man who attempted to flee the country while on bail now free? This is a matter of public concern, and people—especially farmers—need to be aware.
A well-known convicted criminal, recently taken to jail for attempting to flee the country while out on bail for breaking and entering and larceny, is once again a free man.
Previously convicted of goat theft and possession of an unlicensed firearm—offenses for which he walked away with an $11,000 ECD fine—it seems he has managed to escape serving time yet again. This raises serious questions: Is corruption at play? How did the justice system allow this to happen?
This individual was arrested and charged with breaking and entering and larceny on October 3, 2024. As part of his bail conditions, he was required to surrender his passports and report to the police station three times a week.
Yet, on January 20, 2025, he was intercepted at V.C. Bird International Airport attempting to board a flight to England. Despite this clear violation of bail conditions, he is now free.
The public deserves answers.

Indeed, the public deserves an explanation. Justice in Antigua under ti’s present administration, despite all the fat chat from my dear PM, is comatose.. From an obviously tired, ineffective AG, an inept, embarrassing DPP and Co.Ltd., to policemen and army officers who no longer command any respect whatsoever to a generally worn down public who have no choice but to survive by whatever means necessary, forced as we are to coexist with nasty, criminally bent so-called brothers and sister from the Caribbean refuse dump, an Opposition group which prey on the ignorance, stupidity and greed of the electorate, an increasingly irrelevant “”Christian” presence and a society blindly supportive of the status quo! Quo Madison?
If the crime is severe, why let them walk free?

Bail should never be automatic….
Nonsense…. Some people abuse the bail system and make a mockery of justice.
The law needs stricter guidelines on who qualifies for bail.
