Antigua’s reputation as a premier luxury tourism destination relies heavily on the standards upheld by its five-star hotels. Guests expect excellence, and employees expect professionalism, fairness, and safety in their workplace. However, concerns have been raised by staff regarding alleged sexual misconduct and abuse of power by a senior executive at a five-star chain hotel operating on the island.

According to accounts shared by employees, a senior leader within the organization—described as a non-national—has allegedly engaged in inappropriate sexual relationships with multiple members of staff across departments. These interactions are said to involve clear power imbalances, as the executive reportedly holds influence over promotions, work schedules, job security, and overall career progression.

Staff members allege that this behavior has become normalized within the workplace, despite conflicting with professional and ethical standards expected at a luxury hospitality establishment. Some employees report feeling pressured to tolerate or participate in such relationships due to fear of retaliation, victimization, or being denied opportunities. In such circumstances, consent becomes complex and deeply problematic.

Beyond the workplace, employees claim that these alleged relationships have had serious personal consequences. There are reports that families and long-term relationships were negatively affected, resulting in emotional distress and broken homes. While consensual relationships between adults are personal matters, the misuse of authority to pursue or sustain such relationships raises serious ethical and moral concerns.

Equally troubling are claims that this behavior was widely known among management yet ignored or quietly enabled. Staff allege that concerns raised were dismissed, discouraged, or treated as inconveniences rather than addressed through proper investigative processes. This perceived protection has contributed to a culture of silence and fear, where employees feel unsafe reporting misconduct.

Many employees also express concern that standards of conduct appear to be applied unevenly. There is a perception that senior leadership, particularly non-national executives, are shielded from accountability, while junior staff and local employees are held to stricter standards. Such disparities erode trust, damage morale, and undermine the principles of fairness and respect.

Sexual misconduct and abuse of authority are not private issues when they occur in professional settings. They affect employee well-being, compromise workplace integrity, and place organizations at significant legal and reputational risk. Most importantly, they undermine the dignity and safety of workers who deserve a respectful and secure environment.

This anonymous account is not intended to assign guilt, but to highlight patterns of concern that warrant serious attention. Five-star hospitality brands must lead not only in service excellence, but in ethical leadership, transparency, and accountability. Addressing such concerns openly and responsibly is essential to protecting both employees and the reputation of Antigua’s hospitality sector.

True leadership is demonstrated through integrity, respect for boundaries, and the responsible use of power.

  1. What is the point of this letter? Has anyone impacted reported this to the union if there is one or to the hotel chain head office or labour board? If everyone involved is consenting then it’s a none issue. Writing a vague letter does nothing to help except to cause people to speculated and gossip.

  2. Is this luxury hotel named Parliament ?
Sargent Want Fu Kno will be gathering evidence for the CID Department.

  3. You are writing anonymous, but the fact is you feel jealous in some point because others are enjoying some privileges. You didn’t disclose the name of the Hotel, means you are just gossiping because you are envying women that are in a relationship with managers and how those women get benefits from it.
It show also, that your integrity isn’t for sale, and you aren’t selling your body to get a better position. But if others are happy doing that. Is their problem. You keep being yourself and if you think ones of your colleagues need help, then mention the name of the Hotel and name of such managers in anonymous letter of call and let the authorities dealt with it. Shake the tree.

  4. This serves to show the potential husbands or boyfriend are girlfriend who they are in a relationship with, a lots of young ladies leave to work dressing scantily and revealing as though they expect their boss validation,.no doubt. And am not blaming them because of their deportment, but lots a times you can see these young ladies are subdued by some sexual illusion that they brought to the work place, even going to church you go and watch a Sunday or Saturday and you will see the most see through dresses and thong panties printing out colorfully. I have always wondered why a woman think they can influence and control people through sexuality? Even at driving a driving a car most woman can barely drive their car but they get the license, they can’t reverse their car properly.
Now comes to professionalism in the workspace, there are certain measurements or distance in communication between family and strangers, and your workplace should be treated as stranger, family communication distance can be standing 1 to 2 feet apart, but strangers should be 3-4 feet apart, sometimes I see in offices where a male leans over a lady shoulder at her office desk, note well that a man will never lean that close over another man shoulders or get close to him, since men naturally repel each other unless they are homosexual. People should know these things in the workspace and maintain proximity for professionalism.

  5. Just set him up with hidden cameras and microphones. These can be bought as pens, hair adornments, wrist watches etc. Then take your recordings to the authorities.
There are more many ways to skin a cat.
You can arrange to meet him off the hotel compound since such recordings could go against the policies of the company.

  6. It sounds like jealousy but at the same time yeah it’s not right but the problem is bot only at the Resort you’re employed by….The problem is the example set by our leaders….Money talks..No Money, No Honey….Money, Power, Respect………Got it!!!!Who has the most money is the highest bidder….Line staff want more money so line staff gives into advancements of superior…Happens everywhere……Maybe one day your superior will make advancements towards you and then you have the choice…You can accept the benefits or get enough evidence and report to higher management and be the first to make a change…..

  7. @?
    Fate is a female dog.
While this officer is giving a driver’s licence to that female who did not pass the driver’s exam but traded sexual favours for it, it could turn out that that female’s poor knowledge on the road could cause the life of a dear family member of the receiver of sexual favours.

    Life’s like that

  8. I understand and empathize in this situation. There are really do competent or effective agency to report this to that will do anything about the allegations being made here when proven to be true by a proper investigation.

I also want to say that these same workers would attack guest who makes report about the horrible service, food poisoning, and defective hotel room doors and other equipments, saying the guest didn’t have to go that far to make the accurate and truthful reporting public.

I have never heard of any workers so stupid and incompetent and those were our local Antiguans and Barbudans, who defend wrong, and then expect others to defend them when they are being wronged. The truth is the truth.

  9. Sounds more like the author is trying to cast aspersions, and innuendo to further their agenda. Sounds like they are jealous they not getting the wood and the promotion sour grapes probably or a woman scorned.

  10. This anonymous gossipy author is lying and is obviously a disgruntled employee or was written by someone that knows the employee and is trying to ‘get back’ at the hotel. We have seen this before. Is anyone surprised the author doesn’t mention the name of the hotel? Is there a reason why the ABWU hasn’t got involved? Yeah, we know why because its BS.

@My Way Of Helping. We all remember your debunked story and lies in 2024 about staying at three different hotels in Antigua over seven days (when you have family on the island), your claims of food poisoning and tipping of $19,000 ECD (who tips that amount of money for such a horrific experience? No one!) so shut the fuck up and stay in New Jersey you weirdo.

  11. The most uneducated and dunce folks uses unreasonable analysis. How many people get horrible food at a restaurant but tip the waitress or waiter because they were nice or you feel sorry for them?

3 hotels, and ask folks in any of them how often I tip and how much I tip each person? This ABLP idiot need to stop thinking that everyone a notorious liars and selfish like he and the rest of the ABLPs.

I do not pay for supporters, I give because that is what God tell me to do. He said, no matter what happen on your trip, I want you to go above and beyond with tips, and I followed through, even when they do not deserve it, I followed that my Lord tell me to do. Now find a leader in ABLP that follows morality? None, sadly. And this is evident from @tenman being dishonest calling himself a bolans resident when he could never be from there. You have some class and morality if you are from there. You love people if you are from there. And you definitely hate people but love money.

  12. @My Way Of Helping. I voted for Shugy three years ago but that’s not important. What is important is that no one believes your lies Everson.

Your three hotels in seven days story was exposed very early on as BS so its funny that you continue to double down on it. You are not as smart as you think and left numerous holes in that story that exposed you. And you wonder why no one at the ABLP or UPP pays any attention to your wacky ideas and rants. For once, the ABLP and UPP agree on something.

  13. Many of the comments on this letter are so backward. We no longer live in the 1950s. Sexual harassment in the workplace is a serious issue and the article properly outlines the significant points. Yes this sort of behavior from managers and bosses used to be tolerated, or victim blaming was engaged in when the women workers complained. This will no longer fly, as the Epstein saga is showing
