Antigua’s reputation as a premier luxury tourism destination relies heavily on the standards upheld by its five-star hotels. Guests expect excellence, and employees expect professionalism, fairness, and safety in their workplace. However, concerns have been raised by staff regarding alleged sexual misconduct and abuse of power by a senior executive at a five-star chain hotel operating on the island.
According to accounts shared by employees, a senior leader within the organization—described as a non-national—has allegedly engaged in inappropriate sexual relationships with multiple members of staff across departments. These interactions are said to involve clear power imbalances, as the executive reportedly holds influence over promotions, work schedules, job security, and overall career progression.
Staff members allege that this behavior has become normalized within the workplace, despite conflicting with professional and ethical standards expected at a luxury hospitality establishment. Some employees report feeling pressured to tolerate or participate in such relationships due to fear of retaliation, victimization, or being denied opportunities. In such circumstances, consent becomes complex and deeply problematic.
Beyond the workplace, employees claim that these alleged relationships have had serious personal consequences. There are reports that families and long-term relationships were negatively affected, resulting in emotional distress and broken homes. While consensual relationships between adults are personal matters, the misuse of authority to pursue or sustain such relationships raises serious ethical and moral concerns.
Equally troubling are claims that this behavior was widely known among management yet ignored or quietly enabled. Staff allege that concerns raised were dismissed, discouraged, or treated as inconveniences rather than addressed through proper investigative processes. This perceived protection has contributed to a culture of silence and fear, where employees feel unsafe reporting misconduct.
Many employees also express concern that standards of conduct appear to be applied unevenly. There is a perception that senior leadership, particularly non-national executives, are shielded from accountability, while junior staff and local employees are held to stricter standards. Such disparities erode trust, damage morale, and undermine the principles of fairness and respect.
Sexual misconduct and abuse of authority are not private issues when they occur in professional settings. They affect employee well-being, compromise workplace integrity, and place organizations at significant legal and reputational risk. Most importantly, they undermine the dignity and safety of workers who deserve a respectful and secure environment.

This anonymous account is not intended to assign guilt, but to highlight patterns of concern that warrant serious attention. Five-star hospitality brands must lead not only in service excellence, but in ethical leadership, transparency, and accountability. Addressing such concerns openly and responsibly is essential to protecting both employees and the reputation of Antigua’s hospitality sector.
True leadership is demonstrated through integrity, respect for boundaries, and the responsible use of power.

What is the point of this letter? Has anyone impacted reported this to the union if there is one or to the hotel chain head office or labour board? If everyone involved is consenting then it’s a none issue. Writing a vague letter does nothing to help except to cause people to speculated and gossip.
Is this luxury hotel named Parliament ?
Sargent Want Fu Kno will be gathering evidence for the CID Department.
You are writing anonymous, but the fact is you feel jealous in some point because others are enjoying some privileges. You didn’t disclose the name of the Hotel, means you are just gossiping because you are envying women that are in a relationship with managers and how those women get benefits from it.
It show also, that your integrity isn’t for sale, and you aren’t selling your body to get a better position. But if others are happy doing that. Is their problem. You keep being yourself and if you think ones of your colleagues need help, then mention the name of the Hotel and name of such managers in anonymous letter of call and let the authorities dealt with it. Shake the tree.
