‘Labour is Stronger Than Ever’: PM Browne Confident in Party’s Growth
Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne has expressed confidence in the strength of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP), stating that the party is in a position of growth and renewal.
Speaking during a Pointe FM broadcast, Browne asserted that the ABLP remains the dominant political force in the country and is well-prepared for future elections.
Browne noted that the party’s internal processes for selecting candidates are progressing smoothly, with a focus on identifying strong contenders who will uphold the ABLP’s development agenda.
He dismissed speculation about internal divisions, insisting that the party remains united and committed to its vision for national progress.
“We are stronger than ever, and the process of selecting candidates is going well. We continue to attract the best individuals who are ready to serve and contribute to the development of this nation,” Browne said.
His comments come amid ongoing political maneuvering within the opposition United Progressive Party (UPP), which has seen internal disputes over leadership and candidate selection.
Browne contrasted the ABLP’s stability with what he described as dysfunction within the opposition, arguing that his party remains the clear choice for governance.
Browne maintains that the ABLP’s track record of economic growth, infrastructure development, and social programs will continue to resonate with voters.
He also indicated that the party is focusing on engaging with younger voters and ensuring that its policies align with the changing needs of the electorate.

With the Antigua and Barbuda Labour party, good things will always happens especially for the development of the economy….
Gaston is correct the ALP is stronger after financing the position of opposition leader to a young man who is enthralled at monies and other upward mobility, and lack institutional capacity to comprehend politics and running any country, Pringle is not honest and don’t love the country, or else he would not have sacrifice Antigua and the opposition team for his so call holy entitlement to the nomenclature of opposition leader which he doesn’t have the semantic ability to defend. He is there to make Gaston look intellectually superior, so it creates this illusion that Gaston is brilliant and doing the right thing when the truth is he is unchallenged, Richard Lewis sin was to try and upset the establishment and challenge Gaston, no way Pringle will have his head for that as he uses the fanatic blue supporters to assassinate Richard, the institutional power was given to Pringle through a rich Syrian family who have large procurement contract with government for providing electricity, not even the observer radio or any media speak out against this rich Syrian family. The wise honorable Baldwin Spencer once opined that to give one family such large procurement of government contracts it would destabilize national security and he is right, we have a state capture in Antigua, both government and opposition Centristic political alignment has brought a passive atmosphere over the poor masses, people say they don’t hear Pringle voice but it’s because he is captured on the payroll and have to tip toe around this rich Syrian family for validation.

(X)…The By-Election in SP – St. Peter’s, as a result of the assassination/murder, of Asot Michael, and the win by ‘Jackrabbit’ Turner is not proof, that Labour’s getting stronger. ‘Roadrunner’ Whener got just about, the same amount of votes, as the UPP Candidate, in the 2023 General Elections.

It’s like the choice between a weak parent and a strong parent. Remember, love to tweens and teens and even adults is PERCEPTION.
Labour is ONLY getting stronger by perception, and weak and fluid mentality. A ton of gold and a ton of feathers basically have one simple thing in common, their weight. The volume is a perception and in any stormy financial weather which one would you prefer to have anchoring your ship?
