Knuckle Block Community Centre Revitalisation Underway for New School Year
The Knuckle Block Community Centre in St. John’s Rural West has officially come under the management of the Ministry of Social and Urban Transformation, with plans to revitalise the facility ahead of the upcoming academic year.
Senator Michael Joseph announced the development, confirming that the centre will be transformed into a dynamic hub for after-school programmes and wider community engagement.
“The focus is clear: bringing the space back to life as a vibrant hub for after-school programmes and community activities,” he stated.
“Our goal is to ensure the centre is up and running for the new school year, and I’m proud to say we’re on track to deliver.”
Joseph also thanked Minister Rawdon Turner and the Ministry of Works for conducting a walk-through of the facility as preparations begin.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to create safer spaces and foster brighter futures for young people in the constituency.

Curious to see what this means and turns out too
WONDERFUL NEWS 👏
I love to see these initiatives and build up. Been too long that this building has been there and used for the court. Rawdon and Michael are unto good things
Love to see this building finally coming to life. It’s been there and in no use to the community. Finally it can serve its purpose under the ABLP
When unscrupulous politicians team up the result is never good.
Has the Hon. Richard Lewis been contacted and informed of whatever plans are in the pipeline for the hub?
Why is Michael Joseph who has never faced the electorate being given such prominence over the duly elected parliamentary representative for the area?
When the building was occupied by the Magistrates Court I never heard Michael Joseph agitate for the removeal of the court and for the building to be returned to the community.
Today to boost his political presence and relevance in the community he is being pushed ahead of the parliamentary representative.
I wish to inform this corrupt cabal that whatever they do will not sway the people of Rural West.
They have eyes and can see who is standing for them.
Honorable Richard Lewis has been a fighter and continues to work in the interest of the community and constituency.
People of Rural West, the choice is easy.
Richard Lewis all the way.
Big up MP MICHAEL JOSEPH and the Hon. Rawdon Turner
Poor Richard! UPP nah want you, your wife or family in dem subben. No wonder you keep boycotting UPP activities.
You think psychological warfare easy??? Best you protect your mental health and try to shield your children from anymore George Wehner type of behavior they endured at Convention.
You boycott Pringle, now UPP boycott you 🤣
When will Antiguans wake up and see ABLP Zfor who they are
It’s good to see the Ministry of Social and Urban Transformation taking direct responsibility for the Knuckle Block Community Center and committing to its upgrades. Community infrastructure is crucial for social development.
