Knapsack Bandit Devon Byam to be Sentenced Today

Devon Byam faces sentencing after confessing to stealing a Kipling knapsack from Baptist Academy of Antigua on March 7. While a student was playing soccer, Byam took the unattended bag, which contained textbooks and valuables worth $1,715. Security footage identified him as the thief. Some items were recovered, but he kept a bottle of perfume. Devon Byam claimed frustration over unpaid wages led to his actions.

  9. I had a similar encounter, where I took my child to after class…. When I arrived to collect him I forgot to lock my car, by the time I return my hand bag and his school bag was gone. It was such a good thing that I had to pay for his after classes so I had my purse which contains all my money. We later got the bag when a nearby house camera picked up everything. Then there’s the guy walking with my son’s bag in his back……

  12. At times it’s going on three months I don’t get paid,what do I do ??? Definitely not robbing. That’s why you save for rainy days. But on the other hand you’re borrowing from yourself but you get paid , the money is still short you can’t put back what you borrowed !!! Employers please employees have bills, mouth to feed , house rent and soo much more to pay . A hungry man is a desperate man. Some aryo to wicked !!!!! PAY people their salary. Young man I pray you learn from your mistake 🙏
