The Kiwanis Club of St. John’s has responded positively to a request from by officials of the Hannah Thomas Hospital in Barbuda.
The service organization made a donation of bed linens, towels and a refrigerator to store medicine to the medical facility recently.
“We were approached by the Matron of the Hospital with an extensive wish list and we are committed to fulfilling the needs identified in keeping with our commitment to invest in our community,” the club said in a news release.
“Our ongoing contribution to the Hannah Thomas Hospital is an example of how our club can meet a need in our community,” said Moya Lambert, President.
“We are delighted with the continued support from the Kiwans Club of St. John’s Antigua. The refrigerator will assist to extend the life of the medical supplies at the Hospital and the bed linen and towels will improve our quality of service to our patients.” said Matron of the Hannah Thomas Hospital.
Annually, the Kiwanis Club of St. John’s Antigua hosts several fundraisers including High Tea, Patriots Breakfast, Cake Sales among other events all to raise money to support projects that benefit children.
