Kentish Alleges Delegate Disqualification Undermined UPP St George Primary, Vows Political Comeback

One week after losing the United Progressive Party’s St George Constituency branch primary in controversial circumstances to Kelton Dalso, 9 votes to 2 with 2 also going to Kem Riley, Jermaine Kentish is finally clearing the air on what actually led to only 13 members casting voted during the January 19th 2026 event at the Potters Primary School.

Kentish said he was planning a sneak attack, where he would register his delegates late, thus giving his opponents little to no time to be able to know his support among the branch members while at the same time not giving Dalso,  Riley or the party’s top brass any time enough to call his delegates in a bid to sway them over.

He said experience is his greatest teacher, and having learnt his lesson from his 2020 showdown with the current MP, Algernon “Serpent” Watts, he was not going to let what happened five years ago repeat itself. Kentish noted that in 2020 he single handedly went out and solicited thousands of dollars from his deep pocketed friends and registered over 60 delegates in the months leading up to the primary only to get 22 of the 96 votes that were cast that night at the HOPE Institute in Clare Hall.

He said this could only mean one thing, that his folks were being targeted behind his back by the powers that be and this time around he was not going to fall into the same Pit. So with less than a week to go he went and registered more than thirty individuals which he thought was good enough since he also had about twenty or more other members voicing support for him when the time comes.

Kentish, who has been a party member since his days as a scrutineer in 2003 said he was so sure of victory that he wore a three piece suit to the event with his victory speech already rehearsed. But lo and behold, here comes Jason Mannix four days before the primary and then Chaku Waku Symester on Primary night to tell the people who packed the Potters Primary that they were ineligible to vote because they were deemed as being non financial members as of two weeks before the night. A rule or a clause that none of the candidates ever heard about and more so was not in place during the Kentish-Watt showdown because up to the day before the 2020 primary we were both registering supporters. So in the end only 16 person were eligible and 13 actually showed up to vote.

Now let’s go back to three months earlier at an event at the New Winthorpes Primary School, where the current sitting MP, Mr Watts, and other party leaders to include Mr Pringle introduced Mr Kelton Johannes Dalso as the next candidate for St George,as the man who they want and are going with. Now do the Maths, put 2 and 2 together.

In closing Kentish says he wants to send a clear message to the UPP establishment, that they cannot and will not shake or break his faith or his will power because as he said (“You have not seen or heard the last of BUFFY, I got knocked down yes but i have already gotten up, i have already shaken off the dust. I’ve got the EYE of the Tiger, the Fire, tried and tested cause I am a champion and you are going to hear me roar, louder than a Lion,

  1. Boy the worst thing you can try to do is to defy any edict issued by the MAN COW aka Lipstick Hag aka CHAOS DEMON.

It will make your life a living hell (Exhibit A: Chevaughn Benjamin, Rural West Branch ex-Chairman)

  2. This is really strange. Sounds like the wild wild west. It reads like moving the goal mid game. I am thinking there must be a cutoff that’s known by everyone. All sides must get a fair chance at persuading delegates. Imagine A&B elections allowing persons to be registered up to a day before the election. How do you participate in an event like this without ensuring you have read the rules? Sounds to me that UPP’s constitution is not a formal one hence exists only in Chaku’s head (Hopefully Magic is his understudy)

  3. Are you going to roar in the ABLP’s lair? Just asking as a neutral observer! All detectors are i fluency by that push factor! Uhm sorry, pull factor!
