Kelvin Simon Explains Resignation Decision

9

Former MP Kelvin “Shugy” Simon said:

“You know what is instrumental in this? It’s the gall and nerves of Gaston Browne and his administration.

What he’s saying to the people of St. Mary’s, after they overwhelmingly voted for me, is that their desires don’t matter. He treats the situation as if people don’t know what they want, like children.

The people of St. Mary’s are resolute and we understand what we want.

Gaston Browne and the court cannot choose for the people of St. Mary’s, and I refuse to let this matter be solely decided in court.

I believe we can win the case, but let’s bring it back to the people. The judge is just one person, and his decision should not determine the fate of thousands in St. Mary’s.

So, we’re taking it back to the people, and I am confident that I will emerge as the winner in the by-election. They can bring their orders, bring the entire treasury to St. Mary’s; we are ready for them.

They can reactivate the flights and bring them in; we’re prepared in St. Mary’s. We’re not afraid of Gaston Browne and his gang of gangsters.

Put this on record: Kelvin Simon is ready to go back to the polls and Samantha will be defeat even more convincingly this time around.

This cloud of uncertainty caused by the legal challenge hinders not only me but also the constituents.

It creates obstacles in pursuing projects that could improve our community.

For instance, I have plans to refurbish the basketball court and construct stands with bathroom facilities and changing rooms in the Bolans football field.

However, potential investors and other people are hesitant due to the ongoing court case, which affects my ability to get things done.

We want to move forward positively and be productive for the betterment of St. Mary’s. Appeals can take a long time, and as the MP, I am not willing to wait years for a court decision while progress is stalled for the people of St. Mary’s.

We deserve better, and it’s time to work together for a brighter future.”

  1. No dumb dumb it’s the gall of you to think you can do as u like and to hell with the rules. This asinine childish behavior really shows you not ready and can’t be taken seriously 😒 😐

Reverend Sharpe hope u paying attention to the actions of APOSTLE SHUGY SIMON.

    • @ Smh

a shame r u shame………shuggy remove the ground from under your feet!

      what an amazing move!!

  2. @Smh, this is a well-planned, strategic move, that will allow the real court, the people, to decide. It is obvious that you are not the sharpest tool in the shed, so your commenst are consistent with your inability for logical thought.
Think of it, ( don’t know that you can) our courts are compromised, corrupt and unreliable(just ask the DPP who was handed blatant admittance of election fraud and had the audacity to ask for more evidence), now the people have the final say. Really, this is the way it should always be, if so many people here were not to greedy and compromised.
Now, they can resign Samantha Marshal to the dustbin of history where she belongs.

  3. Boss you already won convincingly! No matter what Court you go to you will win unless there’s something we don’t know?

You will win again. You’re wasting time and money boss. We voted for you so why the hell you resigning???

  4. @Wasting time. Did you not read the article? He gave you his reasoning.
Brilliant move, he knows he will win again.
Then what will the ALP do next.
All eyes on the by-election when called. We already know what the ALP is capably of.

  5. While in Opposition, the ABLP challenged the election of four UPP seats and Justice Blenman take off. Can you imagine what Gaston can pull off in government? Shugy have dem on a short leash.

  6. Good move Shuggy!!! Call their bluff. The beating going to be worse and decisive and downright embarrassing..
