The youth of St. John’s Rural South recently had the opportunity to connect, share ideas, and engage in a fun and meaningful way at a special Meet and Greet hosted by the constituency’s Youth Development Officer, Kaiesha Joseph.
The interactive event, held on Saturday, 18th October 2025, brought together young people from across the constituency for a night of games, prizes, and open dialogue. It provided a platform for Kaiesha to introduce herself in her new role while hearing directly from the youth about their aspirations and the types of programs and activities they would like to see implemented in the community.
“One of my main goals for this event was to meet and connect with the young people in St. John’s Rural South, to hear from them, exchange ideas, and start building together,” Joseph shared. “Their input is vital as we work to create positive, engaging, and developmental opportunities that will help them grow and thrive.”
The highlight of the night included an energetic performance by Ants Nest, one of the youngest and most promising bands in the constituency. Their talent and enthusiasm captivated the audience and served as a proud reminder of the immense potential that exists within St. John’s Rural South.
As Youth Development Officer, Joseph reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring that young people in the constituency are provided with the right spaces, activities, and support to channel their energy positively.
“This is just the beginning,” she noted. “The ideas shared will help guide future initiatives aimed at empowering our young people and keeping them actively involved in shaping the future of our community.”
The event closed with a dynamic set by Ants Nest, showcasing their calibre of talent and ending the day on an upbeat, inspiring note.
