A jury will soon decide the fate of a man accused of attempted murder at Dove Trail Beach, as Justice Tunde Bakre prepares to give final directions tomorrow.
The case involves a January 2020 incident where the accused, then 19, allegedly lured a 29-year-old man to the beach with the promise of a sexual encounter before attacking him.
Prosecutors say their relationship began in 2018, with the accused frequently requesting favors, including an iPhone and a $100 loan he failed to repay. He later agreed to intercourse as repayment but allegedly attacked the complainant with a knife.
Defense attorney Michael Archibald argues his client acted under coercion while trying to withdraw consent.

Buggery or sex is illegal in a public space. This was an adult trying to Lure a school boy and then a teen age 19 year vulnerable to provide sexual favors to repay 100.00. He should have walked away and left the boy with the 100.00. Sounds like the adult is guy and the young man was pressured into sexual favors because he was in a vulnerable position. This is so shameful that I don’t understand why you guys have the gall to go and stand in the court. Unless the Victim is left with some lifetime injury and as a result is forced out of the closet.
This is also a wake up call to parents of young men. It’s not only your daughters that the predators are seeking to devour. Driving lessons, cell phones, gold keeper gloves. As a society we need to teach our children to do with what they have . Assist them is getting summer Jobs from childhood . Shouls toys and gifts take scored of young boys and girls during holidays to help them out. Not that he wants so much employees but he is a good citizen and business owner. Corporate Antigua should do likewise.

It is happening to our boys as well and the shame is preventing them from speaking up . If this victim had gotten through from the onset when he was in school. How much more school boys would he have destroyed???.
My charges would have him do some serious community service. Get him a weedwacker and give him a good area to upkeep. The botanical guardians or an area of it .
