(Antigua and Barbuda represented at Petersburg Climate Dialogue 2025 in Germany)
Senator Michael Joseph, Junior Minister of Health, Wellness, Environment, and Civil Service Affairs, is currently in Germany attending the Petersburg Climate Change Dialogue 2025, alongside Diane Black-Layne, Director of the Department of Environment. This annual high-level forum brings together global leaders, policymakers, and climate experts to discuss urgent climate challenges and strengthen international cooperation.
The Petersburg Climate Dialogue serves as a key platform for advancing global climate action, with a particular focus on climate financing, adaptation strategies for small island developing states (SIDS), and the transition to renewable energy. Senator Joseph and Director Black-Layne are actively engaging in discussions to ensure that Antigua and Barbuda’s climate resilience priorities remain at the forefront of international policy agendas.
As part of his engagements, Senator Joseph also met with the Norwegian Minister of Climate and Environment, Andreas Bjelland Erikson. The meeting reinforced Antigua and Barbuda’s commitment to global environmental advocacy and the pursuit of innovative solutions to combat climate change.
The insights gained from this dialogue will contribute significantly to shaping Antigua and Barbuda’s climate policies, ensuring that the nation remains proactive in addressing climate-related challenges.

I note with much interest, that it seems that the Junior Health Minister is being GROOMED by the ABLP to replace the useless and so out of touch Molwyn ‘Cough Cough’ Joseph.
In recent times since his appointment, he’s been in the spotlight a lot more than the incapable Senior Health Minister.
However, I could be wrong … 😉
