A federal judge has ruled that financial records requested in the ongoing Alfa Nero legal proceedings must be produced, but with strict confidentiality conditions attached.

U.S. District Judge Jesse M. Furman on Tuesday issued a memo endorsement lifting the stay on subpoenas for the financial documents of individuals connected to the case.

The judge ordered that the materials be disclosed under a protective order, limiting access to attorneys only.

โ€œUpon review of the partiesโ€™ letters, the Court concludes that the proper way to balance Applicantโ€™s interest in avoiding unnecessary delay and Movantsโ€™ privacy interests is to lift the stay and require production subject to a protective order,โ€ Judge Furman wrote in the order.

The documents will remain under an Attorneys-Eyes-Only designation, preventing disclosure beyond legal teams until further instructions from the court.

Furthermore, should the court later decide to quash the subpoenas, any materials already disclosed must be destroyed.

The judge directed both parties โ€” Yulia Guryeva-Motlokhov, who filed the opposition, and the movants โ€” to confer and submit a proposed protective order by April 25, 2025.

This latest development is part of the broader legal dispute surrounding the luxury yacht Alfa Nero, which has drawn international attention due to ownership claims, sanctions concerns, and high-profile political entanglements.

I see running down your leg ,?.. the clock is Ticking ..

  3. ROBERT, it’s because the country is the bigger issue why we have to get the shenanigans concerning the Alpha Nero settled one way or another or you are not wise enough to understand that

  4. Does the Government of Antigua has advisors, why didn’t someone tell the P.M to let the Russians pay him back $10 million he used to maintain the boat.or the guidance/advice did not work because minds were made up to keep this boat. Now Antigua tax payers have to pay for what they never reap. IF this case is personal why are they not paying their own legal fees.

  5. Gaston has been saying for years ,” his administration is the most transparent ever”
Stop fighting the true disclosure and let us see and hear the truth . Stay humble my people. Money is most people God now. Greed!

  6. This may bring him down BUT we have a bigger issue. The UPP is in SHAMBLES and they are thanking the heavens for this issue. Sad to say it won’t help them to win the next general elections. Between the ABLP and the UPP, we are up the creek the NOOOO paddle.

  7. I don’t touch me salary for years!!! I maintain several millions in liquid Assets. I maintain 10% of net worth My son has the cash and is going to invest 3 to 5 million USD in Airbnb hotel.
When it’s time to disclose you show the people a loan for 500.0k XCD.
The one person who doesn’t own anything but still own everything. Make it make sense!!!

  8. The UPP or any other concerned citizens group must go to our Courts, to stop the Cabinet from using PUBLIC FUNDS to defend PRIVATE CITIZENS in Court.
Regardless of the restrictions, the Russians lawyers wouldโ€™ve gotten the desired information needed, to hammer home their case.
The subpoenas will not be squashed. The โ€˜safeguardโ€™ is simply a way, to make sure that the defendants have no โ€˜outs,โ€™ once the case goes to trial and through the appeal process(es).

  9. Told you it is going to be granted. Why on earth would they think it would not be? Do they not have a competent attorney?

ABLP genuinely need an adviser, I will not take the job. But they need one.

  11. Someone just said that UPP is in Shambles.. ๐Ÿ˜‚..News flash dude, Antigua is in Shambles.. here we have your very PM and his cronies before a US court, are you kidding me?

Pringle, Mr Lewis,Shuggy and the rest are no saint, but are you kidding me right now?

Let this sink in folks, because many of you seems to be clueless and underestimating the gravity of this entire fiasco. Your PM, the leader of you island, has hauled himself and the entire general public of Antigua (whether you are ALBP, UPP or independent) before the American courts.

Let that sink in. How is that anything good.

  12. Reading about dis for first time. De Adolph moustache fella maybe in a spot of bother you have to wonder if de Amurcans thinking of stupid look moustache man joining Sir Allan and the Ice Queen in de big shed..gulp!

  13. So a civil suit against someone, or a group of individuals including the PM is considered a national issue? If the complaint sues everyone in Antigua, does this constitute guilt? All I am saying is this is not a criminal matter where you have to have a probably cause to prosecute!

  14. @MAGA in Antigua
Unfortunately you do not understand the real meaning of MAGA. It’s “Make America White Again” The US media us afraid to inform people like yourself of the underlying racial implications.

Go back and study the making of the Rea Party that’s now The Freedom Caucus in the US House of Representative
Yes the civil suit is a national issue for numerous reasons.
Antigua taxpayers are bearing the cost to challenge the subpoena and defend these individuals. The only tax layers who escape the cost are those shielded by corruptive practices

You obviously are blind to corruption that is pervasive among the individual subpoena.

It’s similar to the blindness of the poor MAGA rednecks in America who are now going to be destitute from the NAGA politics
