Joel Rayne Facilitates Donation of Over 30 Mobility Aids to Physically Challenged and Elderly in St. George Constituency
St. George, Antigua – Joel Rayne, political hopeful for the St. George Constituency under the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP), has facilitated the donation of over 30 mobility aids and devices to the physically challenged and elderly in the community. This initiative marks a significant step toward fostering inclusion, independence, and dignity for all members of society.
In reflecting on the effort, Rayne emphasized that mobility is a fundamental right, not a privilege.
“This effort is about so much more than providing equipment—it’s about ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of independence, dignity, and opportunity,” said Rayne. “With every device donated, we’re breaking barriers, restoring freedom, and reminding people that they are seen, valued, and supported.”
The donation includes a variety of essential mobility devices, such as walkers, wheelchairs, and canes, tailored to meet the needs of beneficiaries. The initiative underscores Rayne’s commitment to building a more inclusive community where everyone—regardless of physical ability—has access to the tools and support they need to thrive.
“Together, we can build a world where inclusion is not just an ideal but a reality,” Rayne added. “When we uplift one another, we ensure that no one gets left behind.”
Rayne expressed gratitude to the community partners and supporters who contributed to the success of this effort.
This donation highlights the importance of collective action in addressing the challenges faced by vulnerable groups. It also serves as a call to other stakeholders to continue creating opportunities for inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment.

WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!!
WOW. WOW. Humanitarian at its best. Joel I am very proud of you. You have demonstrated the act of reachng out to others .I know your GrandParents Victor and Doris Rayne. Also your Mother Janet Richards and your Father Walcott Rayne all from Potters Village.
Praying that Prime Minister Gaston Browne will choose you for the ABLP Candidate for St. George’s.
Same M.O ….before his interest to grace the hall of Parliament he didn’t realize that mobility is fundamental.
These giving are expected in receiving….not genuine in thought and love.
Enough said..wish the brother all best…at least he will speak in Parliament and not only in the media.
A noble gesture wrapped in political optics and photo opp for an aspiring politician.
While, these mobility aids may assist those in need, in their homes, if said homes are handicapped or disabled ready, for the most part, the INFRASTRUCTURE from sidewalks to egress and ingress to buildings and businesses are not prepared to handle the uses, of these MOBILITY AIDS in public.
Several moons ago, I observed an elderly gentleman attempting, to enter a government building at the corner of Independence Ave and Long Street. There were no handrails. There were no handicap ramps and most importantly, there was not even a WHEELCHAIR, at the facility (Social Security Office), to help the elder gentleman to at least enter the building.
I stopped and watched this elder struggle in pain, simply to take the three risers from the sidewalk to the entrance door.
…Noble gesture in deed!
…#Yes_Indeed!
…however; take heed
…of, the greater need!
…void from politicians greed!
…or, are you Mr. Rayne
…of, a different breed?
