Is this the Aquatic Plant Harvester that was promised by Japan some 5 years ago?
I hope the Government informs the public how this machinery will be utilized, and what is the management plan for the harvested sargassum.
I also hope there is a fair and balance plan as to where the machine will be deployed.
WONDERFUL NEWS 🎊 🙌🏾
Why? Why do the coast guard need to harvest sargassum?
Yeah! So too we must but fishing trawlers at concessionary rates out of Japan and least to the Antiguan fishermen to harness our blue economy which is about to be colonized by our government selling it to foreign fishing global corporation.
Now Antigua have to vote for them to kill whales. I genuinely get nervous when certain country gift Antigua anything.
Japan getting in the act too with their gifts?
Oh boy..mind the hand you eat from GB.
Good to see the Coast Guard getting training too. Building local capacity is just as important as the equipment itself.
Japan really knows how to support environmental projects. Hope this strengthens ties between our countries.
