A Jamaican man was fined $1500 after he admitted to illegal possession of camouflage clothing and two government-issued ebooks.

Thirty-seven-year-old Denval Mills pleaded guilty to the offences on Tuesday.

Officers found the items at Mills’ Gambles home when a search warrant was executed at the premises last Thursday.

Through his attorney, Mills told Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh the camouflage vest and pants that were discovered were given to him as gifts.

He said he knew it was an offence so he has never worn the clothing.

Meanwhile, the convict says the tablets were found in a park.

The convicted man was fined $500 or three months in prison for unlawfully obtaining the tablets and $1000 or six months for illegal possession of the camouflage clothing.
