JAMAICA: Woman charged with ‘chopping up male neighbour over water pipe issue’

SOURCE: LOOP NEWS- Detectives from the Westmoreland Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have charged 40-year-old Kerry-Ann Clarke of Bastard Cedar Walk, Petersfield in the parish with wounding with intent following an incident in her community on Wednesday, March 19.

Reports from the Whithorn police are that about 3:30 pm, Clarke had a dispute with a neighbour over a pipe which provides water for both of their homes.

The altercation reportedly became physical, during which Clarke allegedly used a machete to inflict several wounds all over the man’s body, which bled profusely.

He was rushed to the hospital by residents, where he was admitted for treatment.

A statement was recorded from the man, wherein he named Clarke as the person who wounded him.

Clarke was later arrested and taken into custody. She was charged on Sunday, March 23, based on the complainant’s statement.

Her court date is being finalised.
