Source: Jamaica Observer- Businessman D Williams from central Jamaica is the newest Super Lotto millionaire after claiming the J$258 million jackpot in the Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) game.

He hit the jackpot with the winning numbers 04, 10, 15, 22, 30, and the superball 08 drawn on Friday, January 24.

Williams, dressed as The Simpsons character Homer to claim his winnings, said the lucky numbers came to him in a dream several months ago.

“I’ve been playing these same numbers since I dreamed them,” said the elated winner. “I wasn’t always buying Super Lotto but since I had the dream I have been buying those numbers. I had a feeling they would win one day so even when I buy them and they don’t play, I keep buying them.”

When asked about his plans for the windfall, Williams stated that he intends to make sound financial decisions, including investing in real estate properties and expanding his current business.

“This is a lot of money, and I want to be smart about it,” Williams explained. “You can’t really go wrong with investing in real estate and I had wanted to expand my business for some time and now I have the money to do it.”

Speaking at the handover event, Danielle Douglas, VP Lotteries and Transactions at SVL expressed her delight with making yet another Jamaican a super millionaire.

“We are very excited welcome our newest member to the super millionaire club.

We are heartened to learn that Mr Williams plans to use the money to expand his business which means he will be using his winning to positively impact not only himself or his immediate family but his community and the Jamaica economy through direct and indirect employment.”

  1. Antiguans and Barbudans should immediately stop participating in this scam lotto. Five (5) years ago the Lotto stood at $4.5 million. That number remains the same today, five years later. People are beginning to grumble and ask questions. The response? Fir the second timeni as many months we hear of some Jamaican being declared the jackpot winner!!! We read almost daily of lotto scams being perpetratedout of Jamaica. Many of these scam artists have already been jailed by US authorities for defrauding US citizens, especially in Florida through such Caribbean lotteries. Is our FCRS a party/ shareholder in this lotto scam? Will the owners/operators of Antigua lottery Company kindly identify themselves and explain the obvious lotto scams! Maybe their twice weekly and daily hauls are all we need to construct and maintain excellent roads and sidewalks in Antigua and Barbuda.

  2. Faithful National #1 this time I agree with you the Lottery is a frigging rip off, they can have a winner any week they chose and in which country and notice the Jackpot doesn’t go beyond a certain amount, small places like Antigua can only get a little change from Lucky Pick which for the most part is peanut change it is blatantly unfair, then try to fool us about population size. Damn Scamps
