An eight-year-old girl was left for dead Thursday after she was abducted from school and her throat slashed.
The girl, a student of Braeton Primary in Portmore, St Catherine, was taken from the institution in a motor car, transported to Vineyard Town in St Andrew and thrown from the vehicle.
Information received is that the child was found by passers-by and rushed to hospital, where she has since been admitted.
Police have confirmed the incident but are yet to establish a motive for the abduction and attempted murder.
The parent of the eight-year-old girl, who was abducted from school and her throat slashed on Thursday, is making an urgent appeal for donation of blood.
The child is currently hospitalised and is said to be in critical condition.
Anyone willing to donate can do so at the National Blood Bank or any blood receivable location island-wide. The receipt of donation can be taken to the Bustamante Children’s Hospital or any blood receivable location island-wide.
