Today makes exactly one year since New Winthropes woman Vincia James went missing.
The then 26-year-old was last seen on Old Parham Road around 1:00 pm April 7, 2017, when she left her workplace, Dixie Betting Company.
Less than 24 hours later police sent out a missing person’s bulletin, but James was never found.
In the days and weeks following her disappearance, relatives, police and the defence force participated in several organized searches to no avail.
A month following her disappearance police charged her boyfriend, Mikhail Gomes of Piggotts with her murder.
There has still been no trace of James and the case is pending in the courts.

We should make a list of all the missing persons in Antigua and name a special day to remember them. It is not right for us to forget them as if they never existed. You only do so with animals.
