Spoken Word Artist Dotsie Isaac has said that Prime Minister Gaston Browne is unfit for office.

Isaac was delivering a spoken word piece at the United Progressive Party Women’s Rally last night.

“He’s the anti-christ, this country’s curse,” were some of the words used by Isaac in her poetic rendition.

So, this woman is living an un-godly, an un-biblical life, and she is telling the PM who is married with two children and who has confessed that having children out of wedlock was not the best thing to do. But he did say he took care of all his children. And she wants to call him the anti-Christ. Woman come out of that sinful relationship and take the plank out of your own eye before you bother about the speck in others. But I understand, your sister is getting licks every week from the PM and you want to join the fight. But remember you may get hit too.

  6. As an outsider who lived in Antigua for a few years I was horrified with how so many Antiguans live in abject poverty – malnourished, stunted growth, illiterate.

    The average jobs pay very very little but the cost of living on island is high. People are ripped off with exorbitant duty fees. People have their water routinely turned off on a daily basis or for weeks at a time.

    People have no electricity and use outhouses.

    And yet the prime minister and his government are living in the lap of luxury selling off your country’s wealth for kickbacks. Taking paychecks years after being out of office. While most everyone else suffers.

    Gaston did absolutely nothing to protect the population during the pandemic but blamed locals and citizens for outbreaks every chance he could.

    He’s an embarrassing, low level con artist who is robbing you all blind.

    You need a real leader that cares about his country and people. Unfortunately I don’t think any of your parties have one. Just people trying to enrich themselves through politics.

      • And they have plenty of problems with greedy government keeping all the wealth for themselves and the richest folks.

        They also have problems with malnutrition and stunted growth.

        But so does Antigua, WI. The local diet is terrible composed of mostly white bread and processed foods because the costs of food is so high in Antigua and the pay is so low.

        We had many sick people, diabetics talk about how they couldn’t eat a proper diet because food was too expensive.

        And yes there are a good number of very short people who probably have stunted growth because of poor maternal nutrition and poor nutrition as children.

        Gaston and your greedy government officials should be ashamed of themselves.

        You have a large population of overly religious, under educated, illiterate folks living in abject poverty. And the level of promiscuity and immorality is quite high too.

        Antigua is not a poor country. There’s plenty of wealth to go around to support your small population but it’s all given away to foreigners so government officials can get rich on bribes.

        I’m not even Antiguan and I’m angry about how unjust things are on your island. You should be angry too

    • You must be living on Pluto. “People have no electricity and use outhouses.” Utter rubbish! Pit latrines have been phased out of Antigua for many, many, many years. So obviously you know not what you’re talking about.

      The folks who don’t have electricity are most likely people who had their services disconnected because electricity is available to every single resident in this country. Antigua is not like some places where there is no access to electricity.

Antigua presently has TWO active cases of COVID, and before that weeks without even a single case. Do you think that happened by chance?       • I had friends who lived in Potters and Freeman’s village with outdoor toilets (aka outhouses). And whose water was shut off almost every day.

        And then even worse some people went without water for weeks during the height of the pandemic.

        And I met several functioning illiterates.

        Things are bad in Antigua. I think the minimum wage is like $3 USD or thereabouts and yet the cost of living is like an expensive American city.

        Get your head out of the sand and fix your country instead of pretending things aren’t as bad as they are.

        • If you had friends in Potters and Freeman’s Village who were pit latrines recently, they chose not to convert to WC toilets. CBH did a project years ago to phase out pit latrines. So you obviously know very little of what is taking place in this country.

            I know the water gets shut off in the poor villages usually on a daily basis.

            I know at least some people are still using outhouses.

            I know there’s rampant theft, corruption and bribery in your government.

            I know the average Antiguan is being ripped off by their corrupt government.

            I know the government did NOTHING for the average Antiguan during the pandemic and even attempted to pass a law to not pay severance to all the v laid off people.

            I know your greedy, disgusting PM and cabinet laughed at the notion of providing a stimulus to the poor people of the island all the while enriching themselves at your expense.

            I know the poor black folks are treated like 2nd class citizens.

            And things are really bad for the average Antiguan.

Where does Maria Browne finds the time to run her Ministry. The time to work in the Ministry of Legal Affairs. Attend Board Meetings of West Indies Oil Board of Directors, represent her Constituency.
