Concerns are mounting over the stalled investigation into a female police officer’s alleged assault by a sitting member of parliament during Carnival festivities.
Inside sources suggest that senior police officials may be blocking progress in the case.
The parliament member, allegedly intoxicated, was captured on video inappropriately grabbing the officer without her consent.
Although a court summons and arrest warrant were issued, attempts to apprehend the accused proved futile, as they reportedly left the country with an unknown return date.
Remarkably, the Immigration Department has no record of their departure.
The officer who filed the complaint expresses frustration over the lack of progress in the case.

Oh please. I’m sure if this guy wasn’t an MP the officer would have just moved on. How many drunken men partying for carnival touch a female. For instance J’ouvert morning if a man sees a woman wining and wines on her then she moves off is this assault? I know on a normal day to just gyrate on someone is assault, can’t say the same for these carnival activities.

(a)…was the officer “drunk and disorderly” or was she dressed in uniform performing her duties, as a law enforcement officer?
(b)…do you have children(male or female), family members(male or female from parents to cousins), and if they reported such an incident, as per the allegation(s) how would you react, in the same pathetic manner?

How is this about me now? If a rich man touch my female family I would try to milk as much out of the situation as possible. A MP should set a higher standard. If the officer was your sister or relative you would not be so dismissive of her complaint, that’s for sure.
So jamming on somebody during carnival is a low standard? Are the people who participate in carnival activities going to hell? Your higher standards are based on immaterial characterless stuff. You are to be pitied for not holding yourself to standards above the bottom of the barrel. You find it acceptable and normal for an allegedly drunken MP to ” jam up” against a female police officer. You follow by asserting that you know that the officer is seeking monetary gain and if the incident happened to your female relative you would try to make money from it. How low can you get? I think everybody should behave respectably whether in carnival or not. Keep wallowing in the pit, you are at home there, it’ s your comfort zone.
This member should’ve known that this is likely to go to trial. If he were not an outcast, he would’ve gotten full immunity like so many others before and after him.
