The home of prominent businessman Phillip Shoul was broken into yesterday, police sources have confirmed.
The incident occurred in the evening in an area called Parsons Maul which is between Seatons and Willikies.
Shoul was not home at the time but later discovered that several valuables were missing.
Sources tell ANR that a safe was removed from the property.
But there is a twist to the story because when Shoul surveyed the bushes outside his home for clues and items left back, he found five Hispanic men.
The men told him that they were awaiting a boat to leave the country because someone was trying to kill them.
The five men are in police custody but it has not yet been determined whether they were involved in the break in.
Investigations are ongoing.
