Public Safety Minister Steadroy “Cutie” Benjamin has denied that Her Majesty’s Prison is on lockdown after an inmate stabbed a prison officer.
Sources say the inmate ran after the officer and stabbed him on his arm using a sharp object but what caused the incident is unknown.
The prison officer was treated by the prison nurse and it is not clear whether he was taken to the hospital.
