Initiate Spark makes contribution of food items to the Soup Kitchen

0

Local non-profit organization Initiate Spark made a contribution of food items to the Soup Kitchen on Friday 4th September.

The group also assisted in the serving of meals.  The soup kitchen which is ran by Veldon Raguette provides meals daily to less fortunate persons in Antigua and Barbuda.

Initiate Spark President Arthur Thomas shed some light on the impetus behind the contribution, stating that “In these unprecedented times many persons have been hit hard by the economic downturn created by COVID-19. We at Initiate Spark, being cognizant of the harsh realities faced by some, thought that it would be very necessary to provide food items and a meal to those less fortunate. By doing so we not only seek to provide some reprieve to those persons, but we also wish to sensitize the public to the problems faced by some.”

The NGO wishes to commend Mr. Raguette and the entire team behind the Soup kitchen, as their efforts continue to go a long way towards ensuring that we meet the basic needs of those most vulnerable in society.
