Antigua and Barbuda’s annual Independence Day Food Fair will take place outside the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium this year due to cricket matches scheduled for October 31 and November 2.
Chair of the event, Gilbert Laudate, explained that the fair will be held along the road outside the stadium on November 1, but reassured that the event’s essence remains unchanged.
The fair, organized by the Ministry of Creative Industries, will feature traditional dishes and local delicacies.
Laudate encourages everyone to attend, supporting local cuisine from 8 a.m. onwards.

Isn’t there enough space to the east of the stadium to take the fair there?
Just take it on the Streets of St John’s simple.Too much chaos trying to even get to the Stadium on that day- don’t know about anyone else- but that was my deterrent- the last time I went was about five years ago
they should just take it back to independence ave.. idk why they took it up there in the first place.
For couple years now the lack of entertainment is none or little. Walking around looking for different local meals with no or little entertainment makes this independence food fair highly boring. When the food fair was in town I enjoyed more. Now it’s just boring!!
All of a sudden everything must head to the out of the way stadium even parts of carnival kept coming up in conversation year after year when nothing at all was wrong with Independence ave. A located venue where most of us could’ve easily walked to.
We closed down Market street for Xmas eve why not do the same? It’s a bitch getting to the stadium.
How about bringing the Food Fair to Recreation Ground. It is very conveniently located in the heart of St John’s.
What the MAN COW have to say about this???
Using my imagination it doesn’t look like a successful event. However, I believe in trying something first before criticism. I wait to see what the MOC do on Independence Day. I repeat Independence Day.
