This year’s Independence Festival of Choirs will feature a new theme and venue, moving to the St. Anthony’s Secondary School (SASS) Auditorium to introduce a folk segment.

Committee chair Lola Kirby explained the change from the usual church setting, aiming to attract more contemporary choirs.

Performers on October 29 will include the Swetes Men’s Choral, the National Choir of Antigua and Barbuda, and others. Transportation will be provided from the war memorial for a $5 fee.

The event, themed “Together, let us sing,” is part of the 43rd-anniversary celebrations, starts at 8 pm, and is free to attend with food and drinks on sale.
