A man accused of rape has been cleared by a unanimous High Court jury verdict, ending a case that arose from a 2022 complaint in All Saints.
The nine-member panel — eight women and one man — took less than two hours to reach its decision after several days of testimony.
The allegation centered on a December 2022 encounter between the accused and a then 19-year-old woman at his home. Prosecutors contended that sexual intercourse took place without consent, while the defence argued the interaction was voluntary.
Evidence presented included WhatsApp conversations between the two and testimony regarding $200 given to the woman after the encounter. She said the money related to a prior tour job; the defence maintained it had no improper significance.
The accused was represented by attorney Wendel Alexander. Curtis Cornelious appeared for the prosecution.

I believe the mother has been taking care of her for so long she doesn’t believe she is able to make certain decisions or understand love…Maybe she is wrong and needs to let her be an adult even though she may lack proper education etc..She is still a human she’s now an adult and obviously has adult feelings…
That comment is not correct for the rape case the article is dealing with. It is more appropriate for a case that is proceeding in the court now involving a your girl that is somewhat challenged.
