Antigua and Barbuda’s Hellsgate Steel Orchestra, an esteemed 78-year-old ensemble, performed as the International Guest Act at the Miami Carnival Panorama Steel Band Competition.
They showcased a selection of music from the region, including Antigua and Barbuda, at the event.
Additionally, The Hon. Daryll Matthew, Minister of Creative Industries, used the opportunity to invite the audience to experience Antigua Carnival in 2024.

The last big Headline was AG government an it’s investigation of travel agency, and I questioned was the government intended to take care of all travel and accommodations for the Champs both in NY and then MIAMI? I posted then MIAMI carnival is the place to be, where Hellsgate will be able to showcase their talent and music to the world, not only on stage but other venues and possibly in the parade.
MIAMI carnival is where our ministry of tourism gets its biggest publicity and the cultural development and Daryll knew this, so all this BS about travel agency screw up was crap and will not get any further, the whole issue will be over after this, since Mia was always top choice.
I think someone in that post tried to push back and declared Mia can’t compare with NY, yet again they claimed they never heard of Mia carnival, but Labor day in Brooklyn has been down graded years ago, everyone now travel to Miami.
Beautiful music, great front line, skills and outfit, well represented. Big up to the Champs.
