Reflecting on his Beloved Son, Jafari Isaac who died on Tuesday after being shot, the devastated father Kevin Isaac shares: “Jafari was a loving young man.
“He came upon me, his mother, and myself. We actually raised him, both of us together.
He attended Willikies Primary School and was a good student. After Willikies, he moved on to Glenville Secondary School.
He leaves behind his young daughter, Paris Isaac, who is three years old.
Jafari and Kalyn Isaac, his mother, got married just a few months ago and were looking forward to building a life together, but this tragedy occurred.”
Isaac was driving by when he saw the incident unfold.
“I parked his car in the middle of the road and rushed to see if it was really my son who had been shot.
When I arrived, I was traumatized to find that it was indeed my son.
Other family members, friends, and well-wishers joined them to provide assistance.
We called the ambulance, which arrived promptly, and the police also responded in a timely manner.
Seeing my son lying in critical condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit was emotionally draining for me.
I was way to visit his son when my wife informed him that we were needed at the hospital.
She reached the intensive care unit before I did, and when they met up, she was already crying and informed me that Jafari had passed away.
I broke down upon hearing the news but managed to regain my composure and seek guidance from the Lord.”
The police have arrested one suspect, and investigations into the matter are ongoing.”
