Hearing on All Saints West MP’s Independent Candidacy Postponed to December 3
The legal case challenging All Saints West MP Anthony Smith Jr.’s independent candidacy has been delayed until December 3 due to the presiding judge’s absence.
Represented by attorney Dr. David Dorsett, Smith Jr., also Minister of Agriculture, Lands, and the Blue Economy, seeks to dismiss the case.
The applications for dismissal, filed by both Smith Jr. and Attorney General Sir Steadroy Benjamin, respond to a suit initiated by two All Saints West constituents, backed by the United Progressive Party.

Was the judge ill? Elections matters ought to be given priority. Why should such a matter be delayed? Is the judge showing colors? Is she giving Smith time to di a “SHUGG” and render the case moot? It is actions by judges which make me haven’t interest in the CCJ
Speaking of “shugg”….why is it that NO ONE FROM UPP EXECUTIVE showed up to the activity to mark shuggy 1 year bi-election? You think it was just purley coincidence?
No surprise at this development. Who couldn’t have predicted this delay?!
Kicking the can down the road once again, just like the Edwards ‘hit-and-run’ case with the students, and the custom officer who was murdered a few years ago.
Does anything run smoothly in this country?
WHO THE HELL IS AT THE HELM AGAIN? 🥸
