Hatton resident Esther Charles narrowly escaped a knife-wielding attacker early Saturday while heading to work.
The masked man confronted her near the West Bus Station, ordering her not to move. Terrified but resolute, Charles of retreated, declaring, “You will not touch me in the name of Jesus.”
Her faith appeared to diffuse the situation, as the assailant relented, allowing her to leave. She credits her unwavering belief for her survival, affirming, “I know the name has power.”

Alot of people use that route. They should have police patrolling that route frequently.
That’s why Antigua was once rated second dumbest Caribbean country in the world, many years ago, by Google. Why the hell did you play football games with so called young killers, why didn’t they arrest the young people who killed the little girls when they knew who it was, why didn’t they arrest the youths that… You know what, f it. Money is the only thing that matters, but the safety of the people is the last thing on the authorities mind.. Police down here don’t even do their job and so, lazy motherf’s, even CID, they just leave your case for long unless you don’t press them on it or come every day or week to see about your case. The police here can’t finish or do anything down here without receiving help from the public, that’s why they are always on radio or on the tv asking for cooperation or information on some crime, cause they can’t use the tool(our brain)that was given to them by our Creator, to think out of the box or just think, take a step back out of the circle, have a look at the situation and just think— then they just leave that matter and those crimes go unsolved for decades but with the youths that had to do with the girls murder, they knew who did it, allowed them to walk away— they even babied young men(cause they see themselves as big man) who made threats online and placed over social media how much persons they stabbed or done whatever to—- it seems like if money is the most important thing— so if I placed a 5k hit on one of these youths head, I hope the government don’t judge me—- if I wickedly shoot, stab, CHOP! one of them young men for hurting my son, my mother, my wife, my nephew, my niece, you think I’m going to make you arrest me for doing right?? Nah, I’m going to hurt whoever comes to lock me up for doing the right thing— because you all don’t lock up the wrong people for doing the wrong things.
