A source tells REAL News the woman was asleep in her home when she was awakened by the male intruder as he searched through her closet.

The man demanded money and later went through the woman’s purse, which contained a little more than US$300. Reportedly, he also stole the gold chain she was wearing and other items from a jewelry box.

Allegations are that the intruder, who was wearing a ski mask, asked to see the woman’s body before he sexually violated her without using a condom.

The man is said to be about 5’11” and slimly built; he was dressed completely in black and wearing latex gloves.

It is believed the man entered the house by prying open the lock on the kitchen door, since, reportedly, there were no signs of forced entry.

The woman reported the offense, which occurred at about 2:33 a.m., to the Grays Farm Police Station.CLICK HERE TO JOIN WHATS APP GROUP

Meanwhile, in the other incident, which occurred at about 9 p.m. on Monday, the Food Land Mini Mart, located on DeSouza Road, reportedly was robbed at gunpoint by an unknown man.

Reports say the Valley Road owner was standing at the counter when a man entered the business place, proceeded to the fridge and selected an apple juice.

The man then went to the counter, removed a .38 revolver from his waist, pointed it at the owner and demanded money, accounts allege.

Reportedly, the panicked owner then threw approximately $500 on the counter, which the robber grabbed before taking off in a westerly direction.

The bandit is described as being about 5’ 9” in height and slimly built, and reportedly was wearing a tam, a long-sleeved shirt and long pants. CLICK HERE TO JOIN WHATS APP GROUP

    • 500 EC dollars please do not divide it by 2.70
Not even going to say it .
What a traumatic experience for anyone to go through for that silly amount of money and risk years in prison shuups

  1. OMG! Absolutely horrendous crime, please I am asking the authorities to secure the forensic evidence in this cases because with the advance in technology, these cases will be solved by DNA and Genealogy. It is not a matter of if but when. I hope the Police are securing all of it because of these days it will be a straw that will break the camel’s back. It does not matter how long, Justice will be served. I am absolutely sure of that, it’s becoming a joke with these crimes and the court system it is like there is no deterrent, people are losing the lives senselessly or serious crime are against their person. Government please speed up the forensic laboratory we need it, too many families are hurting.

  2. … And the Prime Minister’s response to this rising mayhem is?!?!

UTTERLY USELESS AND INUTILE LEADERSHIP …

  3. Antigua, by now should have a network of CCTV, to doorbell cameras to other surveillance devices to track the movements of criminals 24/7. Unless law enforcement is worried, as to who might show up on the surveillance videos, then utilize the private and public surveillance systems! There are but so many major routes for escape. from any crime scene. Yes, the criminal(s) can stay under the radar but good, persistent investigations should be solving many of these crimes.

This headline is in poor taste. RAPE is Rape and Robbery is Robbery. Stop confuse the headlines. Report one and then move to the other. So the reporter change your method of reporting
