Harold Lovell said this in response to a photo enjoying his time in Canada:

“My mission will always be serving Antigua & Barbuda. With the use of modern technology, I’ve been blessed with diverse experiences to use my experience in law, economics and leadership. In my position at the University of Toronto, I am honored to help open doors for young people, including our bright minds in Antigua and Barbuda.

Our youth deserve to see themselves as global citizens with local pride, ready to create, innovate, and lead in a world full of opportunities. That’s the vision I carry with me — in All Saints West and beyond.”

    Still scarred by your IMF decision and how the banking system went to the brink of the precipice.

  4. Pity the victims of Gaston’s propaganda and those who have to sing stupidity for their supper. Gaston now taking up Social security money to fix hotel,he says. Repeating the labour party mistake of 40 years ago. Were it not for the UPP there would be no Social Security today.
    Note well that Prof Lovell teaches at the best university in Canada, ranked 22 in the world the University of Toronto.

  5. I don’t doubt you sir, about wanting to serve Antigua. Plus political animals got egos that they don’t know when to let go.
    My second thought comment is what I am hearing from the constituents of All Saints West. It is said that you have been living in Buckleys for approximately 2 decades. Yet more then 99.9999 % of the people from that area of the constituency have never see , spoken to you or even knew you lived in their village. The rest of the constituency says it’s 100%. I don’t understand how people seek to represent people and only when they want their votes, they know of their existence. I will never vote for such a person. So I think this is the mountain you will have to climb. Luckily the person you are running against, because of how people view him has created an opening. Just like he did not beat Michael Browne- Michael beat himself. If you ever make it back to parliament is nothing about your being likeable. it’s about your opponent not being trustworthy.
    So I hope that someone comes forward, even as an independent candidate and tear the clothes of both of your skills.

  6. BUT YOU CAN’T DO THAT TYPE OF POLITICS VIRTUALLY, HARALD.

    You need to be on the ground, 24/7. That is what is needed now. Especially now you are trying to insert yourself back into the conversation.
    You didn’t have to go back to Canada, especially now.
    You either want it or you don’t. But you can’t have it both ways. Not now. Gaston Browne laughing at the confusion in UPP. Is it Pringle or is it Lovell?

  7. I am not UPP nor Labor at this moment. But my being an Antiguan with a Canadian upbringing who has since relocated back. I now work within the system in this beuatiful country for reference. We should be celebrating the fact that one of our own has excelled to the heights of being part of one of the most prestigious Universities in Canada. Opening the doors of opertunity for our young minds to be recognized and attend such an institution if possible.

    Perhaps, having those experiences abroad to bring back home, can be the catalyst for change. After all we can all agree this would be a positive step in the right direction.Politicians are just like you and me, so even if he is on holiday, or fulfilling obligations what’s with some of these commentaries. I get that today’s political climate is all about tearing people down. Yes, yes, people like to belittle others for some reason these days. However, this is why kids behave this way and society deteriorates, because the adults and some cases the leaders say it’s ok with words and actions.

    Gaston, Lovell, Giselle, Cutie, Smith, Pringle, Sugi, Green, have done or are doing things we approve of. Your right, is to decide whether or not it works best for you, your family and your county. As it is your country.

    My hope is that my leader strives to make my country safe, secure, and compensates me what I deserve for my work and my contributions.
