Nearly half a million worth of weed in latest airport drug bust

Police made another major drugs Seizure at V.C Bird International Airport on Friday.

Sniffer dogs came across a blue barrel inside Customs Bonded Warehouse and alerted its handlers. The barrel was searched and seven tightly wrapped packages of Cannabis, weighing 109 pounds were found concealed inside. The shipment arrived from the United States aboard an Amerijet Cargo Airline.

The class-B drugs, which carries an estimated wholesale value of $437,000 were seized and taken to Police Headquarters pending further investigations.

    Since these suspensions there have been several marijuana busts at the air and sea ports
    Were these shipments previously protected?
    Are they connected?

  2. Looks like an increase in drug trafficking. All of these major drug busts. Literally one a day. Let’s hope it means that law enforcement is doing a better job! Would be good to hear a statement from officials about this emerging trend!
