Antigua and Barbuda has welcomed a decision by Guyana to stage a trade show in St. John’s next month.
The Guyana Trade Show will be held in Antigua, July 19t-20 and the island’s Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Immigration Minister, Paul Chet Greene, said he wanted to place on record, the contribution made by Guyana to the development of his country.
Greene said Guyana has a large section of its population in Antigua and Barbuda, adding “any Guyanese you miss in Georgetown you can find them in St. Johns”.“I want to go on record here in Guyana indicating our appreciation for those Guyanese who have come to Antigua and made it their home and who have and continue to make critical contributions to national advancement and development,” Greene said Thursday as he held talks with officials from the Guyana Marketing Corporation (GMC), which is organising the event.
GMC general manager, Ida Sealey-Adams, noted the demand for Guyanese products in Antigua as one of the major reasons for the trade show dubbed “‘Guyana on Show Part 3”.
“Guyana has enjoyed a good trading relationship with Antigua over the years. As a matter of fact, Antigua is our fourth largest exporting destination for fresh and Agro-processed products regionally.” Sealey- Adams said.
“Our main products include our sauces, our pepper sauce and as it relates to our fresh commodities the ones that rank very high there are the Pumpkin, Watermelon, eddoes and a few others,” she said, adding that the event “is expected to improve the trade relationship that we have with Antigua while also finding opportunities where we would be able to further expand trading opportunities”.
Antigua is one of Guyana’s export markets for fresh and agro-processed products in the Caribbean.

LMAO!
Lol…. The man a tell truth lol….
Antigua is a dumping hub for everyone 40% Antiguans in its own land while yhe other 60% embrace the freedom
I could never understand why some of our countrymen/women prefer to live in places like the USA as illegal aliens for many years and doing the jobs that they would have refused to do at home. And the sad thing is many cannot even come home when a family member pass away especially when it’s a parent. They are stuck in the american system they so love living in conditions less than what they used to live here at home. Those to me are not economical not political refugees. They just have a twisted mindset that living in the big city is better.
Give me the land of my birth anytime.

If ‘…any Guyanese you miss in Georgetown you can find them in St. Johns,’ how come any national missing can neither be found in Antigua nor Barbuda?
It begs the question, ‘…Where have all the ‘missing Antiguans and Barbudans gone?’
GT beer to the world…3 for 10 anyone!
SELLING GT BAT BEER?
So this is what the ‘..Trade Show’ is all about?
Having a ‘Dunce selling …GT Bat Beer.’
Not sure of the ‘…alcohol content.’
The number being offered for sale 3 for $10 (EC or Guyanese) suggest a ‘…percentage of 2.5.’
Then ‘DB’ could have several containerized shipments.
Even with tariff exemption, not going to make much profit.
Maybe barely enough to cover ‘…handling and shipping.’
Why not trade in ‘…Gold Teeth and GT Plantains’ DB?
Does the minister care who comes to Antigua? Let them all wash them foot and come. Just voters for ABLP election time.
smh
It is called CSME.
Stop being a Trumpian. We do not build walls here. We built bridges. One Caribbean. There is strength in unity
If Guyana has all this wealth and gold and all this good life. Why come here. ? Why majority come here ?
Antigua nice.
