Grieving Father Calls on Event Organizer to Apologize for Unauthorized Fundraising in Late Daughter’s Name
ST. JOHN’S, Antigua — A grieving father is pleading with a woman named Jessica to publicly apologize and remove social media posts related to events allegedly organized without the family’s consent in memory of his late daughter, Chantel Crump.
In a voice message widely circulated online, the man expressed deep concern over Jessica’s alleged actions, claiming she falsely represented herself as Chantel’s mother to Caribbean Cinemas in an apparent attempt to host a movie event in Chantel’s name. He said the cinema’s management stopped the event once they realized Jessica had not obtained the necessary permission from the family.
“She go to Caribbean cinema and forge as the mother for my daughter,” he said, adding that when he intervened, the manager confirmed there had been a misrepresentation. “Stop everything,” he said he instructed them, making clear that neither he nor his wife had given consent for any such activities.
He also claimed Jessica had circulated flyers and promoted a bingo event online and in the community, again without any family involvement or approval.
“She never do any event for us,” he said, appealing directly to Jessica. “Please take this off Facebook and come and apologize to the Crump family before this reach any further.”
The father detailed an incident in which a woman named Nikki allegedly contacted his wife, asking her to attend an event at the Recreation Grounds. When he arrived, Jessica reportedly handed him a case of malt, a gift card for Seven Heaven, and a bag containing three notebooks and binder sheets, allegedly as gifts.
Despite the gesture, the father insists that Jessica acted without consent and disrespected the family’s grieving process. He also emphasized that only two individuals—Michael Joseph and a police officer who is his wife’s cousin—were authorized to help with memorial arrangements and support for Chantel’s siblings.
“Jessica pick up money for put in her pocket—wrong,” he said. “Don’t come and take my little daughter for money making.”
He made it clear that while the family appreciates contributions for the candlelight vigil, such as juice or finger foods, they do not want anyone exploiting Chantel’s memory for personal gain or unauthorized fundraising.
“I’m serious,” the father concluded. “Take away what you put on Facebook and apologize to the Crump family in public. Court is my next step.”

Because one night at Bingo Jessica told as few of us that she is the child god mother and she is going to help the family because she and the mother is very good and she know that the mother and father do not have the money .
