INDEPENDENCE GREETINGS
By
His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams, GCMG, KGN, KSTJ, DSC, DMSC, PHD(HC), MBBS, FCAMA
Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda
44th Anniversary of Independence
Saturday November 1st 2025
Theme: “Solid • Stable • Soaring”
Fellow Citizens, Residents and Friends of Antigua and Barbuda

Today we celebrate the forty-fourth anniversary of the Independence of our beloved Antigua and Barbuda.
The theme for this year, “Solid • Stable • Soaring”, invites us to pause in gratitude for the blessings we continue to enjoy.
Our nation has been shaped by generations who placed their faith in God and their trust in one another. Through every season, we have drawn strength from that faith, and from the courage and creativity of our people.
To be solid is to stand firm on the principles that define us, love of God, respect for one another, and pride in country.
To be stable is to be focused on one’s mission and not to divert from the important things in life.
And to be soaring is to maintain our levels of achievement and continue to build on them thereby making our nation stronger in accordance with the very words of our coat of arms and our anthem ‘Each Endeavouring, All Achieving’
As we look to the future, may we renew our sense of purpose and unity. Let this day of commemoration strengthen the bonds of friendship among us, deepen our gratitude to Almighty God, and inspire us to keep our nation moving forwards and upwards, solid in faith, stable in hope, and soaring in love.
May God richly bless you all, and may He continue to bless our beloved nation of Antigua and Barbuda.
Happy Independence Day!
Thank you.

Sir Ridney, will you unite with the masses in calling for a full public, independent inquiry into the vehicle scandal???
Do that and I will hail you as a real man.
The PeeeeeeeeeM said that you do not have the authority to do it.
Well even if you do he will not fund it.
However if you pressure him he will do it.
Imagine the head of state calling on the prime minister to call a public inquiry into to a matter.
Be a man and unite with the masses calling for the public inquiry.
Governor all we want to hear right about now, in terms of unity is for you to initiate the Independent Enquiry into VEHICLE GATE. Then we can discuss unity which is a fiction of your imagination. Follow your leader king charles and how he’s handling the fallout from the Epstein Pedophile Group.
As we celebrate our 44th anniversary of Independence, I want to encourage our leaders to be humble. HUMILITY preserves greatness.
Power is never permanent — today’s advantage may be tomorrow’s undoing. Treat others with fairness, for life has a way of reversing roles.
POWER IS A PASSING SEASON
No position, title, or influence lasts forever. History has proven that those who were once mighty have eventually been replaced, forgotten, or humbled. Power is like the wind — it shifts from one direction to another without notice. The wise understand this and never boast in what can fade. When you hold power, whether in leadership, wealth, or influence, handle it as a temporary stewardship, not a permanent possession.
Happy Independence my Brothers and Sisters.
Mr Rodney Williams this is the best that you can do as ALP minister of st Paul constituency? Because you are still wearing your political hat under the proxy of governor general.
