Government to Invest $15 Million in Airport Upgrades
Aviation Minister Charles Fernandez announced significant upgrades for the sector, with over $15 million earmarked for improvements.
Key initiatives include enhanced airport security through expanded CCTV coverage, advanced access control systems, and a state-of-the-art Public Address system integrated with flight displays.
Fire safety measures will also be bolstered with upgraded suppression, sprinkler, and extinguisher systems.
A $3 million local food court in the new terminal is set for construction in early 2025, offering diverse dining options.
Additionally, $2 million will fund roof renovations for the old terminal as part of broader infrastructure upgrades.
