Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves has announced that Vincentians will head to the polls on Nov. 27 to elect a new government.

Speaking at the Unity Labour Party’s “Labour Strong Rally” at Richmond Hill, Gonsalves said Parliament was dissolved Tuesday, Oct. 28, with Nomination Day set for Nov. 10.

The ULP’s five-year term officially ends this month, but the Constitution permits the government to remain in office until February 2026.

  1. Disappointed with Ralph gonsalves a socialist or Marxist who succumb to the trappings of power, he and Tim Hector and odlum was a shinning hope, their characters were assassinated by the UK and the USA who directed the government then to punish them in the 1960-70’s .I now see that Tim Hector was the top academic among them , his polemics was always light years ahead, Tim Hector had even tried to steer Maurice bishop in a different direction that could have averted his demise, and George odlum second, Ralph should demonstrate succession, he express pan Africanism, and should notice the same trend in Africa where an old man Paul biya who is 92 year old and has run for president again after more that four decades in power as president and won’t give up power, they want to die in office without any workable development policy shared bipartisan or other wise. The country should go down with them to the grave, they enjoy conspicuous consumption which is diametrically oppose to Marxism that they profess.
