Residents of Golden Grove Extension have joined forces with their MP, Daryll Matthew, in a major clean-up campaign to improve the safety and appearance of the community.
The initiative, which began at the weekend, includes clearing overgrown lots, removing debris and tackling illegal dumping.
Mr Matthew, who represents St John’s Rural South, said the project is part of a wider effort to build civic pride and ensure residents live in well-kept surroundings.

Volunteers of all ages took part, and organisers say the campaign will continue in the coming weeks, with plans to extend it across the constituency.

When government agencies and departments neglect their responsibilities givernment ministers take it up for political agrandisement.
Is that the way a society should operate?
Why didn’t the minister use his influence and in collaboration with the minister of the environment have the relevant department do their work?
No. No. No
If he does that there will be no photo-up.
No perceived political milaleage will be achieved.
It’s not about state.
It’s about personal perception to keep the people in slavery.
