Glasford Francis, the primary founder of Kennedy’s Club Ltd., has died. His passing was announced by the company on Tuesday.

Francis died on Jan. 20, 2026. He was described as the patriarch of the Kennedy’s Club family, whose vision, generosity and strong commitment to family laid the foundation for both the business and the lives it supported.

Founded in 1962, Kennedy’s Club grew under Francis’ leadership into a longstanding and respected enterprise, becoming a familiar name in the local business community.

The company said Francis’ legacy will continue through the values he instilled and the institution he built over more than six decades.

  4. The brothers who were working at the Mill Reef Club started building a masonry structure at the front of the wooden family house, which at back of the property.
    Many in the Village said thats so good; the boys are building a real home for their mother.

    To the surprise of the church goers and the delight of the jukebox and dance guys and gals it when it emerged as a run shop and jukebox joint. and dancehall.
    The hard working quiet Francis brothers who had foresight and vision; at a time when politicians did not block the entrepreneurial spirit with bureaucracy and uncompetitive practices.

    Today the politicians are the entrepreneurs

  8. My condolences to the Francis family. My father Victor Browne was the attorney for the family from the mid 70s to 1991 on his passing. Wonderful family, great patriarch and matriarch.
