Prime Minister Gaston Browne said: Gaston Browne has done more to advance Barbudans than any other in the history of the Barbudan civilization. Lands were leased for economic development; none sold to any foreign developer.
Upon expiration of the leases, the land and buildings revert to the full ownership and control of the Barbudan people. The only persons eligible to buy freehold land in Barbuda are nationals.
We offered up to one acre of freehold land to each Barbudan for $1.00, as a form of reparatory justice for the underdevelopment resulting from decades neglect of Barbuda by past administrations. I have always shown love and empathy for all Barbudans, even our political opponents.
You would recall that in 2013, I took $500K of our family savings to pay outstanding salaries and wages, that the then UPP administration could not pay, or refused to pay.

I was the first responder in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, risking treacherous weather conditions, to travel to Barbuda on a helicopter to reconnect Barbuda and Barbudans, after the entire communication system was destroyed by the hurricane.
Me and my administration fought unrelentingly to restore Barbuda. We attracted billions of dollars of investments to the extent, Barbuda is poised to become the top luxury destination in the Caribbean.
I have and will continue to give my heart and soul for the advancement of Barbuda and its residents. No lies, misinformation, disinformation and ridicule can stop me from loving and delivering for the Barbudan people. No amount of aggression can stop me from speaking truth to power in dispelling the myth of ownership in common.
There is no such legal or constitutional construct; it’s a salacious lie that morphed into a myth that became entrenched in the minds of the unsuspecting few, the political mischief makers and haters. Commencing next month, Barbudans for the first time in their civilization, will receive freehold title to land for $1.00, backed by our country’s constitution.
This is real tangible and sustaining empowerment with land that can be utilized economically for the present and future generations. The Gaston Browne administration is empowering the Barbudan people with ownership because we care. Much love & blessings.

The narcissist he’s resurfaced.
Keep doing.
Thats what the leader of the governing party is supposed to do.
I got news for you.
It would be in you and the labour party’s best interest not to run a candidate in the next general elections.
The labour parrt has overstayed its welcomed in Antigua.
I didn’t say Barbuda because Barbuda has never welcomed labour.
With dem long leases most Barbudans a go dead before dem leases expire, so generations of foreigners will still be in control. You will even expire before dem leases. On this National Day of Prayer you till can’t cum dung off you high horse. Brother Man self praise ah no recommendation. This National Day of Prayer nar change nutten, you ah de problem
Gaston Browne 🥸: “… If you would recall that in 2013, I took $500k of our family savings to pay outstanding salaries and wages that the then UPP administration could not pay or refuse to pay …”
So Prime Minister if you are this great saviour for the Barbudan’s as you state. Pray tell, how come you and the ABLP continuously fail to make any headway with your promises or with the electorate come any election?
AND THERE’S MORE FROM HE 🥸 FOLKS:
“… Barbuda is poised to become the top luxury destination in the Caribbean …”
Ahhh, I now understand why the Barbudan’s don’t vote for the ABLP, because they know they are more SERVANTS for the super rich and famous.
They want to witness the same sort of effort from you and your party in other sectors instead of pandering to the hotel lobbyists from the likes of Robert De Niro and their ilk.
Furthermore, this gentrification of Barbuda will eventually price out the indigenous population in the long-term.
I get it now Barbudan’s, I get it …
