Four People In Police Custody in Connection With Fraud Investigation
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, August 5, 2026
The police have arrested and detained four individuals in connection with an ongoing fraud investigation following an incident at a business establishment on Lower All Saints Road.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects allegedly attempted to cash a cheque that was reportedly stolen.
The owner of the business became suspicious during the transaction and immediately contacted the police.
All four suspects were taken into custody.
The Police Administration is encouraging all business owners, financial institutions, and employees who process financial transactions to remain on heightened alert when dealing with cheques and other negotiable instruments.
Businesses are urged to carefully verify the authenticity of cheques, confirm the identity of individuals presenting them, and report any suspicious transactions to the police immediately.

All of them are Antiguans and young people most of them I’m sure in their teens.
The PM said it, teenagers are the ones carrying out most of these robberies and illegal activities. The youths have little to no parental guidance whatsoever.
The youths need help.
The parents these days spoil them with all manner of material things and when they are older and can’t get it , they then do anything to get it when the parents can’t afford it.
The parents hang their hats where dem habds cant reach everytime and the cycle cotinues.
The live a life of show and bragg about it.
They live i board house with zinc fence and go boat cruise and hotel and eat salt and rice or bare bread and sky juice, sometimes donut middle and have brand name phone with no credit, BMW and Lexus and Audi with no gas and no cash to maintain it but they spend hours washing it more then how they themselves wash dem own skin.
They idolize material things and the cycle continues.
God soon come for his chosen people.
Repent and change your ways people.
