Fort James Reverse Osmosis Plant Experiences Water Quality Issue–CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHAT’S APP GROUP
The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) Water Business Unit has reported a water quality issue at the Fort James Reverse Osmosis Plant.
This issue, detected earlier today, involves higher-than-normal conductivity in the water transmitted from the facility.
In a statement, the APUA Water Business Unit assured customers that corrective measures have been promptly initiated, and normal operations are expected to resume later this afternoon.
The authority also highlighted that the current season of high sea swells has been intermittently impacting the plant’s operations. Elevated turbidity levels in the water supply have contributed to periodic disruptions.
APUA apologised for the inconvenience caused and expressed gratitude to its customers for their patience as efforts are made to restore full functionality.
