Former BVI Premier Andrew Fahie found guilty of drug conspiracy

Source -BVI NEWS: Former Premier Andrew Fahie has been found guilty of conspiring to smuggle drugs into the United States and laundering the proceeds he made from the arrangement.

Fahie faced charges of drug smuggling, money laundering and racketeering before a Miami court.

The 12-member jury deliberated for more than four hours before arriving at a verdict late this afternoon and unanimously convicted Fahie on all counts of conspiracy he was facing.

Fahie was represented by attorney Theresa Van Vliet who argued that her client had been framed by the United Kingdom government. This is despite overwhelming evidence showing that Fahie was nabbed following a sting operation orchestrated by the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Sentencing has been scheduled for April 29 — just one day past the date he was arrested two years ago. Fahie was remanded following the verdict after being out on bail for nearly two years following his arrest.

  2. Say what we want; they do it too, he’s a minority, they only go after certain people; when, International Law enforcement agencies come #howling. #barking and #biting, they’re taking at least a few pounds of your flesh with them.

    I hope for the day, when Caribbean Law Enforcement come for the crooks in the purported upper echelon, those #White_Collar thugs destroying our communities with drugs to guns.

  3. Our politicians don’t need to conspire to export drugs into the US.
    They have their own lucrative business right here at home with The Creative Enrichment Program coming out of Cabinet.
    Our guys are beyond the reach of US and UK law enforcement with their schemes

  5. These black petty overlords that we have as leaders around here never learn. Look at all of them. Another one off to jail. But they still think they would be the ones to get away with it.
