RIP Brother B – one thing you couldn’t say is that he wasn’t passionate about his job.
Rest easy Minister. May the angels water your crops in heaven.
Rest in peace!
Wow! Heartfelt condolences to his family, to the people of St. Mary’s South that he once represented in Parliament and to the wider Antiguan community.. From the restaurant business to Parliament, he was always a good and approachable man.
Condolences to the family. May God comfort them in this difficult time.

Wonder if he couldn’t get MBS Funding too?? Guess u have to cuss old people who picketed your office to get Baldwin Spencer to DICTATE to Medical Benefits to pay for your treatment overseas at an elite hospital.
I remember his speeches—never boring, always fiery.
He really believed in local agriculture—he lived and breathed it.

This man was a good man in so many ways. May he sleep in peace and may his family find comfort
I first met The Hon. Hilson Baptiste as Brother B, owner and proprietor of one of the most famous restaurants in St. John’s – Brother B’s located on Soul Alley nestled in between High Street and Long Street, just below what was then Barclays Bank but is now First Caribbean International Bank. He was a very jovial character and his restaurant was a meeting place for many Antiguans who returned home for Carnival and other festivities.
He was a lover of the martial arts and took part in the sport.
When he moved from being a restauranteur to politics his focus was always on Agriculture and Fisheries. Others have already spoken of his endeavours during his tenure in Government.
He was also a sponsor of some Carnival events in the earlier days.
I send my condolences to his family and friends. His joviality has been missing for quite awhile, but the memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew him well.
Sleep on, Brother B, sleep and take your rest. May his soul rest in peace.
The last grassroots MP and great Antiguan patriot. Brother B will be missed. Condolences to his family and the blue wave.
Was there accusations of r@p1ng a young l@d-e? Interesting that the mouth went b4 the body. The amount of filth..anyways…rest where you MUST.
Condolences to his family. I get the impression that he was passionate about the development of Antigua. Always a humble man, he never lost his common touch. May his soul rest in peace and rise in glory.
