Foreign Minister Denies Health Rumours

Antigua and Barbuda’s Foreign Affairs Minister, E.P. Chet Greene, has dismissed rumours about his health, saying he is neither ill nor receiving medical treatment abroad.

The claims surfaced in an Observer Media Group (OMG) article, which suggested Greene had fallen sick and required overseas care. The report sparked widespread speculation and public concern.

In response, Minister Greene said the outlet failed to uphold basic journalistic standards. “OMG, which has my number, could not do the honourable thing of verifying the information,” he said. “Haters are just that—haters.”

He urged the public to ignore the “unfounded rumours.”

  1. Oh my!!!!
When the shoe is on the other foot it really hurts badly.
You laboRATS cry only when things hit home.
A few months ago while Alex Brown was at work you laboRATS took him to the cemetery and buried him.
    Yes.
It was a known fact that he had been diagnosed with a certain condition.
However he was no where close to the funeral parlor as laboRATS had put him.
I didn’t hear you chastise laboRATS then.
I didn’t hear you caution them that you didn’t want to be rushed to hospital, the funeral parlor nor the cemetery while you were in Queen Elizabeth Highway doing your work.
I guess the only project your government has started and finished in eleven years is the MouldWyn Place on Factory Road.
Since not even Sir MouldWyn wanted his name on the plaque and you kept away from the opening ceremony, the OMG had to find someone to try out the cemetery.
Hence they just pulled a name from the bag and it so happened to be you.
When you politicians will shoot down the wrong irrespective of who is involved we will have a better society.
Are you afraid that you will now fall sick and die because it was said in public?
If you want a grater to wipe your face I have one.
I will give it to you free of charge

  2. We need to stay away from celebrating when members of the political party we do not support fall sick. Sickness and death is for all humans. As a people we take political far too far , wishing the worst on our opponents. Wishing people suffer and have a horrible death as well.
God giveth and God takers – blessed is the name of the lord.

  3. What has become of UPP’s ALEX BROWNE????
He voted AGAINST acquisition of the Cancer Centre

  4. Well, at least he’s not in some relatives; or crony basement apartment therefore: He must be sleeping in a hotel bed while at foreign, which is much more cost effective on the people’s kitty. And much more preferably than a hospital stay even with the fact of medical insurance is way out into the stratosphere. Meanwhile, the good intention Minister of Foreign Affairs was right across the plateau on Barbuda dealing with the procurement of Forigners Afairs. Hey! I’ve got some beachfront property to sell the interlopers-in the name of the clown, auh! Crown of Governance. Sick & Slick are but of too different creatures.

  5. It’s a sad day when I do not trust one single media outlet in Antigua. All they do is push political agenda.

Whether Chet is receiving medical treatment or not, he right. OMG could’ve called and asked but I guess we are going to have to wait yet again for Serpent to provide his “doc-is-ments”

Journalists with integrity please step forward!

  6. Matthew 24:4-31
    King James Version
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

People live on FAKE NEWS these days and especially now with AI. You cannot believe your eyes and ears. What then do you believe? I too must say I am deceived many times when I see certain AI videos. Especially the one with the new Pope reading a letter he send to Ibrahim Traoré

Actually Pointe FM program host Kimba played it on a saturday and had I believe the highest ratings ever. People just called in like crazy they couldn’t believe what they were seeying and hearing.
In the last days you will be deceived. But the Bible warns you about it and tells you make sure you are not deceived.

  7. Irresponsible journalism. You all continue to fail the public which relies on you for credible information. Do better

  8. I definitely would be concerned if he was sick, my tax dollar would be helping to pay his bill and you know how dem extravagant when it’s not their money. Blood suckers to the bone

  10. @Born & Bred Antiguan July 18, 2025 At 1:23 pm
Were you concerned when your tax dollars were used to pay for then Minister Jacqui Quinn cancer treatment in the amount for about $200K. Were you concerned when your tax dollars were used to pay for the treatment of the young girl that was burnt by her aunt or grandma and had to be flown to Guadeloupe and then to Paris I believe the cost ran into the million of dollars. Were you concerned when your tax dollars were used to pay for the treatment of Paul Quinn who got a stroke and we needed to bring a Trinidadian brain surgeant. The government has not released the figures to date. Andn many more people were assistated in getting medical treatment overseas over the years. I guess you were not concerned. But know that this government spend millions to assist Antiguans who find themselves in financial difficulties to pay for their medical expenses. But also know that parliamentarians are by law entitle to medical assistant if they need to go and seek treatment oversea.
