Antigua and Barbuda’s Foreign Affairs Minister, E.P Chet Greene, led a delegation to the recent G-77 meeting in Havana, where more than 100 Heads of State, Government officials, and Foreign Ministers gathered.

The meeting delved into pressing issues affecting member states, including concerns about technology and the persistently unfair global economic order, further exacerbated by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The post-meeting Declaration highlighted the need for comprehensive reform in the international financial system, emphasizing greater inclusivity and cooperation among countries.

The representation of developing nations in global decision-making bodies was deemed essential to enhancing their access to science, technology, and innovation resources.

This gathering reflects Antigua and Barbuda’s commitment to addressing global challenges and advocating for equitable international systems.
